As we settle into Fall, I wanted to share a sample of the exciting cultural events taking place in Paris in November, particularly if your co-ownership time slot falls within the "shoulder season".

Paris Restaurant Week

For the first time ever, the City of Light welcomes "Paris Restaurant Week."

This gastronomic event features participating restaurants offering special prix-fixe menus to showcase the city’s diverse dining scene — from bistros to fine dining — making it more accessible. This is a wonderful opportunity to discover a new restaurant or finally try one that has been on your special occasion list. The event runs throughout November but reservations are required. Full details can be viewed at here.

Celebrating 100 Years of Art Deco

Paris is celebrating 100 Years of Art Deco with many cultural events and art exhibits across the city. Highlights include:

150th Anniversary of the Palais Garnier

This year marks the 150th Anniversary of the iconic theatre designed by architect Charles Garnier. To celebrate this monumental occasion the Paris Opera has organized special events, tours and artist exhibitions within the splendor of the majestic theatre. The history of the theatre and the full schedule of events can be found here.

I highly recommend attending a performance at the Palais Garnier at least once; sitting under the famed ceiling created by Marc Chagall and absorbing the talent onstage is an unforgettable experience. During the holiday season, the theatre is splendidly decorated, complete with a magnificent Christmas tree, creating the perfect Parisian winter ambiance. The Opera National de Paris has already released it's performance schedule for the 25/26 Season, which may be accessed here.

Local Note:

Thursdays are 'turnover' day for both of Pied-à-Paris' fractional apartments Maison Rivoli and Maison Chapon. This is when one set of owners departs and the next returns to enjoy their two-week stay in their Paris home. For me, the first order of business upon arrival is to grab the shopping trolley and head to the Marché Bastille. This vibrant outdoor market is an easy 10-minute stroll from both apartments. It is open Thursdays 7:00 am to 2:30 pm and Sundays 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. Here you will find the largest selection of fresh seasonal produce, cheese, meat, seafood and bread along with flowers, homeware and souvenirs. In the center of the market, there is even a stall with tables, serving platters of freshly shucked oysters to enjoy in the open-air. If a sweet treat is what you crave, a vendor makes fresh crêpes too!

If you have been dreaming of a beautiful place to call your own in Paris, this is your moment. Sales of Maison Rivoli are currently underway with several shares already sold. Do not miss this opportunity to finally start living the life meant for you. You would be on your way back from the Marché right about now, with fresh fruits and flowers in tow!
